Landscaping Project Wilmington DE.
The Landscaping Design Process
Wilmington, DE. was the location for this landscaping and hardscaping total overhaul. This was one of our most challenging projects we have ever done with a client.
We always encourage our clients to bring forward their ideas and needs to the landscaping design process. I have to say this was the most prepared client I have ever worked with. Stacks of landscaping magazines and landscaping photos from the web made an eight inch tall pile on the kitchen table.
Our landscaping designer sorted through the materials and narrowed down the plant selection to native plants that would thrive in Wilmington, DE. soil. Everyone who lives here knows about the clay soil.
Creating a Landscape Design
Next, we went through the landscaping photos from our website, which is a great source for ideas and inspiration. After sifting through all the information, we started to work on the landscape design and budget limits for these projects.
The design was a culmination of the customer's months of doing homework and they seemed pleased with the final design for both the landscaping and hardscaping.
Sod Installation to Enhance the Landscape
Sod installation was on the client's wish list; however, they decided to use their whole budget on the landscaping and hardscaping. We can always come back in the next season to install sod. There is always some lawn damage from landscaping construction, the client was made aware of that and was happy to have the lawn seeded at this time.
A Paver Patio for Everyone to Enjoy
The final project end result was gorgeous! Serpentine style walkways with bordering courses, landscaping bed accents, colorful perennials and evergreens for year-round enjoyment.
A spacious backyard concrete paver patio that was landscaped around the perimeter with crepe myrtles, weeping cherry trees, and the landscape lighting set an ambient mood. The couple could enjoy or have big family parties with enough space for useful and thoughtfully designed patio areas.
Paver patios should incorporate the basic needs of the family but still leaving enough space to accommodate for family and friends.
