A Cool Landscape Design & Hardscape Project in Newark, DE
Our Clients Love Our Landscaping Services
Having been in the landscaping business for 24 years now, our reputation is everything to us. Most of our new clients come from referrals and that's how we like it. There is no better way to spread the word then by having someone else say good things about our company and having the previous clients we have done work for, do the talking. Coming from the client it's more genuine because if they weren't happy, they wouldn't have referred us in the first place.
You Probably Need New Front Yard Landscaping for Your New Home
In Newark, Delaware we got a call from some young new homeowners that had moved in to their newly constructed home. It was the typical landscape installation from the home builder and we know from experience they don't last long and is usually where they spend the least amount of money. None of the plants or trees were going to stay so we came up with a more appealing design to enhance the front yard landscaping without making it look out of proportion.
We service Wilmington, Newark and Hockessin Delaware as well as Garnet Valley, West Chester, Chadds Ford and Kennett Square Pennsylvania and neighboring cities in DE, PA.
A before picture of the landscape:
Landscaping Plants Need to Be Handled Properly...
They had a small front yard so overdoing the landscaping by planting too many in one space can ruin the curb appeal. Most of the time less is more. When designing a new landscape you must take into account that your plants are going to mature and get bigger, so make sure the space is big enough to accommodate all of the plants or it ends up looking overgrown (with plants growing into each other later on as they mature).
A New Paver Walkway Was Another Nice Addition
The other portion of their project consisted of removing the concrete walkway from the driveway to the main entrance, and the concrete steps that were built with the house. The customer also wanted a walkway that accessed the front entrance from the pedestrian sidewalk.
We used all Techo-Bloc products for the hardscaping. Mini-Creta block and pavers in the autumn red color were used for the walkways. The steps designed were rounded arcs that gently curved for aesthetics. We used a standard four-foot wide walkway with flaring at the end of the walkways - which the clients loved:
Yes We Even Do Landscape Lighting and Mulching!
One last detail that was added was LED landscape lighting in the steps and walkway for safety and illumination during the evenings.
So now with the hardscaping complete, the plants were laid out and had the client approve the arrangement. After the go-ahead, we installed the plants with Bio-Tone Root Booster Plus which is a great plant starter and lessens the strain on the plants taking root. The landscaping went on three sides of the home because they planned on doing an outdoor patio in the backyard.
The beds were mulched with our dark black premium dyed mulch to keep moisture in the beds, not to mention the wow factor! Nothing brings a landscape to life again like a fresh coat of quality mulch.
We still do work for this client today and if you are in the Newark, Delaware area looking for a great company, give us a call today!
