Check Out This Landscape Design Project in Wilmington, DE

We Put Our Front Yard Landscaping Ideas to the Test

Pro Image recently did a total overhaul of a front yard landscape renovation for a client located in north Wilmington, Delaware. We received the first phone call from the client early January. This is unusual for most people to think that far ahead about landscape renovations, but because of the scale of the renovations and wanting to be ready to go when the spring rolled around.

We service Wilmington, Newark and Hockessin Delaware as well as Garnet Valley, West Chester, Chadds Ford and Kennett Square Pennsylvania and neighboring cities in DE, PA.

Other Landscaping Companies Can't Compete With Us...

We needed extra time to come up with solutions to all the landscaping problems. They had called 5 landscape companies to come out and do an estimate. 3 were a no show/no call, the fourth company showed up but never returned with the design they promised. Pro Image was the fifth company, so needless to say if our competition can't even show up to their appointments why you would even consider them.

After being disappointed by so many landscaping companies, our client was in better hands than they realized when they decided to work with us.

Landscape Design Can Include the Addition of Paver Walkways and Steps

The design process for this landscaping project took a few months of planning and selecting all the right materials for the job. During the landscape design phase, we looked at removing the old concrete walkway and installing a Techo-Bloc paver walkway and steps. We did this using a random pattern of 6"x9" and 6"x6" Parisienne pavers in blue-grey and beige tones.

Tree Removal and Adjusting Plant Beds is No Problem

Two large trees needed to be removed to make way for a more open look to the front of the house while providing more sunlight for the new sod we would need to install later in the last phase of their project.

The plants were in really bad shape because they were planted right under a roof overhang which allowed no direct water or sunlight. To solve this problem we extended the beds out so the foundation plants were not under the overhang and added Delaware river- rock stones in the open space of the landscape beds for a contrast.

Plants such as cherry laurel, crepe myrtle and an assortment of perennials, properly spaced and designed that will not overgrow the intended space if properly maintained.

Some newly planted plants in front of the home.

All That Was Left Was Proper Sod Installation

The paver walkway was in, the landscaping was finished and the last thing we needed to complete was the sod installation. All the existing lawn area vegetation needed to be removed. Even after removing the two large trees, there were still some major roots we had to contend with to get the soil properly prepared for sod installation.

This landscaping project only took our crews a week to refurbish everything but the end results wouldn't have turned out that good without good design knowledge and planning. We don't like pushy sales pitches or high pressure selling. We work within each client's budget range and make them feel a part of the process. Personalized service and good listening skills go a long way with your customers.
