Outdoor Living Room Patio, Bear DE
We received a call from a gentleman located in Bear, Delaware and he wanted to know to what extent our capabilities were, because he had a sizable outdoor living room patio idea for a few years and he was ready to move forward. He had been frustrated with the contractors he was meeting, which put the project off until he found Pro Image Landscaping. He emailed us through our website contact us form and we schedule an appointment about two weeks later.
Paver Patio Flooring, Outdoor Lighting, Bench and Fire Pit
When we arrived at the consultation we noticed there was a previous patio and steps that were basically unusable and the steps were very dangerous. All this was going to be torn down and start from scratch. We went over all the amenities he wanted including paver patio flooring, columns, outdoor lighting, and a recliner style hardscape bench with a fire pit in the center.
And... Two Pondless Waterfalls
And lastly, a beautiful display at the rear center of the patio. It would consist of two LED remote controlled pondless waterfalls, each with programmable LED light shows via the small remote control that syncs to operate both at the same time. In the middle of those two 6 foot wide waterfalls was going to be a 5 foot long custom made fire flame table. This is operated via the push button start along with flame control adjustment. They chose to have their natural gas hooked in straight to the flame table instead of using propane. Just put your favorite colored fire pit glass to fill the stainless steel tray for the last accent and you’re done.
Final Patio Design with Cambridge Ledgestone Pavers
It took quite a while to get the final patio design put together due to some additional items and amenities and some budget constraints. After the agreement was signed, colors were chosen, materials ordered and our crews began to break ground. The customer chose to go with a Cambridge three-piece XL ledgestone paver in the onyx\chestnut color with the same color border course surrounding the entire perimeter of the patio. The lighted columns, sitting walls and bench seating would be constructed of Cambridge Old English wall stone in the same color.
We service Wilmington, Newark and Hockessin Delaware as well as Garnet Valley, West Chester, Chadds Ford and Kennett Square Pennsylvania and neighboring cities in DE, PA.
Patio with Amenities and Beautiful View of Spacious Lawn
The location of the patio was designed to have a beautiful view of their spacious and luscious backyard lawn area. I must say the view is very impressive. Because of all the amenities we were dealing with installing also comes with the responsibility of making sure all the wiring for your low-voltage lighting and especially the gas and plumbing lines for the fire table are up to code before you continue to build the patio. Since most of these waterfalls sit in a corner area in smaller patio settings, we didn’t have that luxury on this job. There are some pipes and wires that are neatly zip tied to the back of the patio structure. We have it in the near future plan to do some landscaping around the patio that will mask that in the future and won’t be so visible. This was a very difficult and technical job but our hard scape team is the best! We carry a 10 year warranty on every hardscape and masonry installation.
Quality Installation in 4 Weeks including Bench Seating and LED Lighting
All the previous electrical and plumbing needed for this job is done by qualified companies we subcontract. We do what we do best and leave the electric and plumbing personnel to do their best in their respective fields. I can say even though this was a very large job it went without too many issues. All in total this hardscape project had a four week build time. We had good dry weather, a wide open space to work and everything the crews needed for their job is located on site. We also stock our trailers with everything the crew needs to get the job done. Well, with the occasional Home Depot trip. The bench seating area with the fire pit were lit up with LED lighting.Their kids love using it for smore‘s and marshmallows. The next thing to do was we had to install 1 inch weep holes through the back wall in order for the water to drain properly. It’s barely noticeable but facilitates great drainage. And of course the final center masterpiece is a gorgeous display at night of two waterfalls spouting a flat wave of water lit up by the different LED colors that you can choose via your remote control. All the combined elements of water and fire, the fire table are my favorite. To me it seems as if it dances in the wind!
