Hardscape Project with a Multi-Tiered Paver Patio in Wilmington, DE
Pro Image Landscaping opened up a hardscape division in 1995. During the 90's, the traditional 4"x8" brick paver or the 6"x6" and 6"x9" became the most popular outdoor paver patios pattern used in hardscaping.
If you have seen any of these older projects in your neighborhood, you will notice that most of them look horrible now because of the lack of knowledge by the contractor who installed it.
We service Wilmington, Newark and Hockessin Delaware as well as Garnet Valley, West Chester, Chadds Ford and Kennett Square Pennsylvania and neighboring cities in DE, PA.
In the last 20 years, hardscape designs have become more of an extension of the home and is tailored to the homeowner's personal tastes. This can create an infinite number of possibilities with all the great material choices that have come out in the last few years.
We get a lot of our clients ask questions like: "Will there be weeds coming through the joints?" "Will it sink after a few years? Because my neighbor had a driveway put in and now it has ruts, will that happen to my project? As a professional hardscape company we will let you know what to look for and what to look out for in hardscape construction. We like our clients to make an educated decision.
Unique Outdoor Patio
A client in Wilmington, Delaware had called us up after seeing a project we were finishing in the neighborhood of Fairfax. I asked if he would like to take a look at our current project to see what kind of work we do. We showed him the patio as our hardscape crew was finishing up the last day of completion.
The Challenge of a Multi-tiered Paver Patio
We talked a little bit about how the building process goes and we set up an appointment to look at their backyard where they wanted to build a new outdoor patio space. The existing area was covered by an old rotting wood deck that had seen the last of its days. The old decking was about 24" above the grade so we would need to build multiple levels for entertaining, cooking and eating.
3D Patio Design to the Rescue
The planning of the design was a difficult task. It took about a full month of revisions and tweaking. With some clients, visualizing a multi-level outdoor patio can be difficult so Pro Image employs the help of our designer who can put your project into a 3-D perspective. You know what your project would look like before we put a shovel in the ground - HOW COOL IS THIS?
Another 100% Satisfied Wilmington Customer
The final patio pavers we chose were complimentary of the house, with the various tones of color in the pavers. We chose Techo-Bloc Blu 60mm slab pavers in sandlewood color with a dark grey accent border of 6"x6" pavers.
Bullnose pavers were chosen for the steps coming out of the porch area and the bottom level steps as well. Two columns with outdoor low voltage fixtures were attached to the top. LED outdoor lighting was used for the sitting walls to bring a relaxing atmosphere during the evenings.
At the completion of each hardscape project, we do a final walkthrough with the customer to make sure everything that we have done is 100% satisfactory before we accept the final payment.
